Please note that all campers must have their full festival pass before purchasing their camping ticket. A full festival ticket will be required to access the campsite. Camping is open only to full festival pass holders.
The official NYEGE NYEGE Campsite is conveniently located on the Northern shore of the Festival, a short 5-minute walking distance from the Festival stages and the Nyege Tropical Beach. The NYEGE NYEGE BEACHFRONT CAMP & RETREAT offers the ultimate festival camping experience and direct access to the festival. Situated on well–serviced, clean and beautiful lands with plenty of space and shade and 24- hour security, the site has a true festival atmosphere. Festival fans come from all over the world to mingle and share in the joys of one of Africa’s finest festivals.
If you wish to bring your own tent then you can camp in our large shaded BYO (Bring Your Own) Forest Camp.
If you’d like to hire ready erected tents then you can try one of our 2 tented camps: the Nile Rapids View Camp or the Purple Pine Camp.

If you’d like to hire one of our ready erected tents, then there are 2 distinctive zones to choose from: the Rapids View Glamping Camp and Purple Pine Camp. Both areas have 24 hr security, beautiful river views over the waterfalls, clean toilet and shower facilities, affordable safe storage and communal areas
PURPLE PINE CAMP

This private camp is in a shaded pine forest overlooking the river, only a 5–minute walk to the main festival arena. The Camp offers peace and quiet yet overlooks all the action happening at the festival.

Khapela South African Village

Nyege Nyege is proud to partner with South Africa’s premier Glamping service provider ‘Camping Khapela’ who will be setting up an exclusive camp limited to 100 glamping tents with a South African flare.

RAPIDS VIEW CAMP

Rapids View Camp is a private camp with 200 tents and a mini camp. It is fenced off from the main campsite and other camps with shade coverage offered by the pine forest. The camp can only be accessed by those with Rapids View camp wrist bands. Tents are well spaced to allow more privacy and a relaxed atmosphere. Within 5–minutes walking distance to the festival stages and amenities, this option is perfect for those wanting a bit more space in natural surroundings.

This is the largest section of the campsite and is dedicated to campers who have their own tents and gear. You can set up your camp anywhere in this large area on a first come first serve basis. The BYO Forest camp is situated in a wonderful forested area with even cut grass clearing and incredible views over Itanda falls and magical sunsets in the evening. The camp is only accessible to people with the BYO forest camp wristband. A short 6-minute walk from the Main Stage, and 3 minutes from the Nyege Nyege Beach.

NYEGE NYEGE WOODEN COTTAGES

Nyege Nyege is offering 40 exclusive self-contained wooden cottages. Each cottage can either house two people with a shower and toilet inside OR be reconfigured to house 4 people with a private external shower and toilet per cottage.
Cottages are fully lockable, have solar electricity and a charging spot for phones and small electronic devices. The private camp is only accessible to Glampers, The camp has its own private reception, bar and morning breakfast club.
